Skilled Workers and Professionals

Skilled Workers and Professionals

Skilled Workers and Professionals can immigrate to Canada based on various criteria such as: education, work experience, language proficiency, etc. At the Law Offices of Saguy Barchichat we believe that every qualified and skilled individual wishing to come to Canada should have an equal opportunity to obtain a visa. We will provide you with a detailed assessment of your eligibility according to the various criteria of acceptance. Once your eligibility is confirmed, we will handle the entire visa and immigration application process to ensure that your file is complete and meets the requirements of Immigration Canada agents.

Express Entry

Express Entry is the Federal immigration program for candidates wishing to apply for permanent residence to Canada (provinces other than Quebec). Under this program, a personal profile is created with Immigration Canada containing your information such as age, education, language abilities and work experience. You are then awarded points for each of these criteria and Immigration Canada then invites the highest-ranking candidates to submit a full application for permanent residence.

At the Law Offices of Saguy Barchichat we will assess your eligibility, prepare and manage your Express Entry Profile, assist you in receiving an Invitation to Apply, advise you of the required documents and submit your permanent residence application upon invitation.

Quebec-Selected Skilled Workers

Under an agreement between Quebec and Canada, Quebec establishes its own immigration requirements and selects immigrants who will adapt well to living in Quebec.

You must first apply to the Quebec government for a Certificate of Selection (CSQ). This is the official document that shows that the Government of Quebec has accepted you to that province. To be selected you must have the schooling and occupational skills to facilitate your job integration. Other factors, such as language and age will also be assessed.

As a foreign student in Quebec, Quebec graduate or temporary worker in Quebec, you may be eligible to apply for the CSQ in an expedited and simplified process called the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ).

After you have been selected by Quebec, you must submit a separate application to Immigration Canada for permanent residence. This is the second and final stage where you will have to pass a medical examination, security and criminal checks.

At the Law Offices of Saguy Barchichat we will assess your eligibility, advise you of the required documents and submit your application to Quebec Immigration. After the CSQ is obtained, we will also represent you in submitting your permanent residence application to Canada along with all the required documents
