Temporary work visas, student visas and visitor visas for Canada
At the Law Offices of Saguy Barchichat, we will assist you and your family members with the immigration process for Canada work visas, student visas and visitor visas for those who wish to come to Canada for a temporary stay; either for work, study or simply a visit. In some cases, your temporary residence in Canada may qualify you for permanent residence.
Work Permits
In most cases, it is a prerequisite to obtain a job offer from a Canadian company and to have that job offer approved by Service Canada before a work permit will be issued by Canadian immigration authorities. The process of having the job offer approved, Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) requires that the employer demonstrate it could not find a Canadian/permanent resident to fill the job position. Once a job offer is approved, an application for the actual Work Permit can be made to Immigration Canada.
Study Permits
To be eligible to study in Canada, you must have been accepted by a school, college, university or other educational institution in Canada. Also, you must prove that you have enough money to pay for tuition fees and living expenses for yourself and any family members who come with you to Canada. Finally, you must satisfy an immigration officer that you will leave Canada when you have completed your studies.
Visitor Visas
At the Law Offices of Saguy Barchichat, we can assist you in obtaining a Visitor Visa to Canada if you wish to visit family, friends or to simply tour the country. Once in Canada, you may also have the opportunity of extending your stay as a Visitor for an additional 6 months.
If you wish to visit your children and grand-children, you may also be eligible to apply for a Super Visa to travel to Canada. The Parent and Grandparent Super Visa is a multiple entry Visitor Visa that is valid for 10 years and allows applicants to remain in Canada for up to two years at a time without the need to leave the country.
